About our Foundation
The Dennis Ream, Sr. Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis is a locally driven organization that serves our communities and its members who are suffering physical disabilities resulting from Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Our purpose is to positively impact the quality of life of every person we meet by providing effective resources and support to individuals and their families. We aim to empower those in our communities diagnosed with MS to live a full and self-sufficient life by lessening the struggles and limitations that is progressively endured by the disease.
Our mission focuses on providing equipment and other levels of physical and mental assistance to individuals that may not have the financial capabilities and affiliations that offer the necessary benefits to help live a pain-free and independent life.

About Dennis Ream Sr. (“Pops”)
Dennis Ream, Sr lived his life with love and fearlessness. As a teenager he enlisted in the Navy and voluntarily served two tours in Vietnam. He overcame years at war and returned home to his family only to find that his toughest hurdles were still ahead of him.
He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 25 and faced this obstacle with the same grit and determination he had in the military. He would neither let this disease define him nor live with any regrets. Despite a consistent decline in health, having an endless schedule of doctor appointments, taking dozens of pills a day, struggling to do the basic daily routines, he overcame. He never complained or made an excuse not to do something. He lived everyday for 47 years with MS with a mindset of feeling accomplished and maximizing his independence.
He taught his family to not to be defined by failure but to be strengthened by overcoming our setbacks.

Increase the quality of life for, not only those inflicted with MS, but the families that care for them.
